Tech:NYC’s Statement on SCOTUS’ Ruling on Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health
Tech:NYC released the following statement today after the Supreme Court of the United States released its ruling on Dobbs v. Jackson Women's Health:
“The U.S. Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe v. Wade is an affront to women’s rights and personal autonomy. It will deny countless people access to healthcare, especially those with limited financial resources. While this news was expected, it is no less shocking and infuriating to see an official ruling as regressive and repressive as this one.
“Tech:NYC commends our elected leaders in New York for passing a range of abortion protections at the end of session this year and for ensuring that our state continues to be a safe haven for all entrepreneurs and tech workers. The NYC tech community knows that we must protect women’s rights in order for our city to thrive. We will continue to work with lawmakers and stakeholders to guarantee everyone can equally and fully participate in our economy.”
