Tech:NYC’s Statement on City of Yes Passing the City Council

Tech:NYC President & CEO Julie Samuels released this statement on the City of Yes for Housing Opportunity being passed by the City Council.

Today, the City Council moved forward one of the most consequential and historic policy victories in recent history. City of Yes for Housing Opportunity will significantly improve livability across the five boroughs, which in turn will help the city better attract and retain the next generation of New Yorkers, including those who will power our tech sector. We thank the City Council for passing this package of bills today and congratulate all those in Mayor Adams’ administration who played a role in getting it done. We encourage the Council to seize the momentum a win like this creates and continue fostering a policy environment that allows our city — and all New Yorkers — to thrive.
